Recently I became aware of a really good yoga instructor, by the name of Simon Chandler through one of our existing clients. She always said he much she enjoyed these classes and I thought it would be great to get Simon down to the studio once a week for people to try.
There are 6 places available for this course which begins April 12th on Thursdays from 1pm to 2pm.
This 5-week course will give you the opportunity to try Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This dynamic and strong form of yoga is one of the most popular forms of Hatha yoga practised in the West today. Practicing Ashtanga yoga regularly can help you with your whole body strength and flexibility. With it’s origins in Mysore, India, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga has inspired many other forms of yoga including Power Yoga, Hot yoga and Vinyasa Flow.
Simon has practised and taught Ashtanga Yoga in it’s traditional form for more than 15 years. In 2006, Simon was authorised by Sri K Pattabhi Jois (Guruji) of Mysore, India to teach the Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga and in 2010 he was given permission to teach Intermediate Series (Level 2 Authorisation). Simon is also an experienced British Wheel of Yoga teacher (qualified in 2008). This style of yoga has enabled Simon to transform his stiff and heavy cyclists body into one that is open, flexible and strong.
