6 Steps To Getting What You Desire

Nearly 10 years ago I went to this in Long Beach…….

 

The best 3 days of learning I ever invested in.

I used the money I earn’t during the Easter holidays in my holiday job before my last term at university to pay for it.

Before I even started my business, straight out of university, with nothing.

I wrote a letter to Gold’s Gym, Venice beach asking for work experience, where I spent most days from 5am to 8pm that June….. watching the coaches/trainers/physical therapists, making notes on everything….like a sponge!

To be surrounded by people who knew more, and start learning from those at the top of the game!

So if you are thinking about starting your journey towards doing what you love each day or achieving your goals around this Easter…..here are a few tips:

• Expect and accept that you will need to do jobs/tasks you don’t like before you land your dream one…..infact its useful to do because it helps you realise what you really don’t want to do for the rest of your life!

• Be bold, be brave and grow some balls and write to people to ask for help. When they don’t respond, email and call them….don’t wait for that opportunity to come to you.

• Start “investing” in your future….doesn’t have to be with cash, it can be with conversations, reading, networking and the people you surround yourself with.

• Get ready to front load A LOT of work and acknowledge that if you want to continue to grow, that never stops…..if you love what you do and its deep in your heart you won’t regret that! Do not expect instant results….that may only serve to crush your ego!

• Be relentless in getting better at what you do, but respect your body and treat it in a way that will give you productivity and longevity. Make sure that those around you don’t end up with a poorer version of you because of your selfishness…..because you will need to be selfish at times.

• Remember the attitude of the beginner is key……don’t be afraid to be the least knowledgable person in the room, in fact shoot for that! A sponge…..soaking up info, making of it what you want and create your own blended philosophy based on science, application and what works!
