Team Training – What they did last month (Tough Mudder)

A couple of Sundays ago we took Team Blast to Cirencester Park to take on the world renowned Tough Mudder obstacle course.

Held world wide, these events give an awesome training goal and a sense of team work.

On the morning of the event, the weather was horrific!

Many would have stayed in bed, but not this special group of people.

That’s why they are out there making the most of life…..

Having trained with purpose over the 9 weeks leading up to the event, they weren’t missing this for any kind of weather!

The whole philosophy is that no one person in the event is more important than anyone else, its not a race and team work comes before anything else.

So over the 12 miles, which sounds a long way, there are so many different obstacles, with names like EVEREST, ARTIC ENEMA and MUDMILE you can get an idea.

This year they  changed the route from last,  so for those of us doing it again, it kept it interesting, which is key.

We do this in the training for an event, with different sessions to keep everyone enthused and excited.

Those members of our team who were unsure if they would be able to complete the event, were actually among the first to sign up again for next years event.

I now have a TEAM based fitness challenge lined up for them in mid November which we are starting training for in a weeks time.

If you need to take your training up a notch or to have a challenge that gives you a reason to train and eat right, this team event could well be right up your street.
