DON’T DO THIS FOR YOUR HEALTH……..

 

Ok, so it seems like my detox article went down a treat last week! Someone just offered me some broccoli…..winning!

On Sunday I posted on social media that one of my guinea pig trialists had lost 2.5 inches off her waist in the first 7 days of her programme with her.

 

The same lady actually messaged me to tell me that her appetite had been lower than usual and did she have to eat all the food I had put on her meal planner.

 

That my friend is THE  NAIL ON THE HEAD………….

 

Yep what we have done there is flipped the relationship between insulin and leptin (the hunger hormone) on its back!

 

See I know it will work, for some it might take longer than it did for Rachel but this is how you can reverse the probability of type 2 diabetes.

You just gotta be smart with your exercise and nutrition!

 

I will pop you an article later in the week to explain in layman’s terms how the INSULIN and FAT AROUND THE BELLY are linked!

yep so my private messages went bezerk’ ( is that a real word)……….

 

Ranging from, “ what’s the best way to tone up and lose weight? “

 

To

 

“I cant seem to lose weight and I have tried reducing my food, should I eat carbs?”

 

I wish it was this simple:

 

–       A calorie is a calorie

–       Eat less move more

 

You see the two statements above are BIG MYTHS!

 

Your body fat, yoru energy, your health, your hormones, your moods, your mental health and are completely and inextricably interrelated with each other.

 

THE MISTAKES OF A FATLOSS WANNABEE

 

The amount of people I hear about that eat cereal or bagels for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and pasta or microwave meals  for dinner.

 

People skip meals, barely eat protein or veggies , drink fizzy drinks or fruit juice all day!

 

And take a whole bunch of counter prescribed and self prescribed pharmaceuticals is shocking!

 

What’s more shocking is that people are are completely oblivious as to why they are storing more body fat , feeling tired and to be honest “like shit”!

 

Getting ill, feeling unhappy, moaning that they have put on weight to those around them and not doing anything about this!

 

There seems to be a huge disconnect between lifestyle, diet ( that doesn’t mean starvation by the way) and a general lack of health and the symptoms they continually moan about.

 

They say things like,…….”I always get ill, its just me” ………” I am just in my daily bad mood” …. “ I get fat easily”……..” I’m not a morning person”…

 

 

The truth couldn’t be further from this. The reason they feel like this is because their internal body is hammered!

 

—– health is not merely  the absence of illness—–

 

Just because you haven’t got a life threatening disease or illness (yet)  , doesn’t mean you are healthy.

 

The body can still be sky high with inflammation and toxicity,  hormones in complete turmoil!

 

I have noticed this particularly in females that have used crash dieting and unhealthy ways of living that have ruined their internal environment!

 

—— a fish is only as healthy as the water it swims in—–

 

Men don’t escape this, you know the guy who drinks beer, yep his man boobs and belly give that away!

 

He also relies on caffeine to get him up for anything……leaving him shaking like and excited dog!

 

He doesn’t escape the reduced sex drive and low lust for life and mood swings.

 

The lack of quality proteins, healthy fats and veggies in your intake means that your body is on “survive at all costs mode”…..

 

Throwing a literal spanner in your engine!

 

If you don’t know this……your gut health is DIRECTLY linked with your mental well being!

 

There are numerous studies that now show a link with mental health and gut health!

 

—– you can either survive or thrive,  it’s your choice——

 

The only way to sort this mess out is to:

 

  1. reduce stress
  2. regenerate
  3. re-nourish

 

start with:

  1.  eating natural food at each meal
  2. yep proteins from fresh meat, fish, eggs (ideally organic)…….
  3. veggies need to be consumed daily—the government set low targets so we don’t fail ( well guess what they are failing us) …….the number should be nearer 10! Aim high….
  4. eating healthy fats……olive oil ( don’t cook with it though),  fish oil, chia seeds, flax seeds, coconut oil
  5. eat some fruit too…… berries are your best bet
  6. eat less starchy carbs….. potatoes, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oats, quinoa.
  7. Eat at least 3 x per day…….. and be consistent.

 

 

The longer that you have been engaging  negative health behaviour patterns, the longer it will take to replenish yourself.

 

BUT it will happen!

 

The use of supplements can help……….

 

  1. Greens drinks
  2. Zinc
  3. Magnesium (from “ate” compounds)
  4. Fish oils
  5. Vitamin E (if you train a lot )

 

—– oh and you don’t have to live like a nun——

 

Please please don’t sacrifice your social life, make an effort to socialise more…… last time I checked your kids didn’t need a drink to be social able at play group…..you can do it too!

 

Make sure you rest, don’t train 100 x per week or do 3 classes in one day that will mess you up!

 

—- YOU are in control—-

 

You can control your environment, unless you are a prisoner!

 

Losing body fat is a whole lot easier if all you do is listen and ACT on the information I have just given you.

 

Being oblivious is not an option here, your health is the SINGLE most important thing you have….you cant even look after your kids and give them the best future without it.
