There’s a type of person that wouldn’t get on with me and I wouldn’t want to work with. In fact I would not even want to spend time with them and I don’t!
So at first the title may seem a little specific and somewhat personal!
Well guess what it is!
I have nothing against Sylvia’s though!
You see, I have had a number of people writing to me, phoning me, signing up on the BLAST Fitness Camp waiting list asking to come on the waiting lists for Personal Training or the Fitness Camp.
This is great and it is due to the fact that the people who immerse themselves in what we offer change their lives! You will see more proof of this this week!
But to be honest I don’t want to work with everyone and not everyone would want to work with me!
That’s totally cool!
That’s partly why we now offer an experience week at my fitness camp where I can see if I can help this person and in my personal training studios we have a tight system that basically allows us to see if we are a good fit for our clients before they commit.
So why Sylvia- well it went well “sapper”. Sappers are people who behave like sponges. They are all take and no give. They bring nothing to the party. Sir Clive Woodward, Rugby World Cup Winning Coach, talked about these people in his book. Basically he didn’t want them in his team environment.
He described These are the sort of who would see how to do as little as possible in a situation. Some of you may know these as social loafers! They don’t actually have to physically show that they are negative but they don’t actively engage in circumstances.
There’s a number of things that this person probably does and says each day that would probably mean we wouldn’t be a good fit.
In fact I have lost friendships because of this, now this is cool too, because you CANNOT be something to everyone but you can be EVERYTHING to someone!
I am going to call this lady Sylvia just for this.
In this context Sylvia is:
It’s retarded.
I am going to be blunt here, I have no time for the Sylvia’s of this world.
I am not saying you have to behave like a nun for the rest of your time on this planet. BUT if you want change, if you want to be better than you are today, something has to change.
Because,
If nothing changes, nothing changes right!
Being aware of Sylvia in your life is important, she’s a friggin’ nightmare.
She’s always complaining about how hard her life is, how little time she has, how other people make it impossible for her and how people who take action are crazy!
Watch out soon for a few cracking RESULTS
Eat Well, Train Well, Live Well
Matt
p.s. If you would like to work with me that’s cool but unfortunately I don’t have any space for Sylvia though!!:)
